This course explores the essential principles of leadership within the context of the local Seventh-day Adventist church. Participants will engage with biblical teachings on leadership, examining the role of church leaders as servants and stewards of God’s mission. Topics covered include: 1. Theological Foundations of Leadership: Understanding the biblical basis for leadership, including the life and ministry of Jesus as the ultimate model for servant leadership. 2. Church Governance and Structure: An overview of the organizational framework of the SDA Church, including the roles and responsibilities of various church officers and committees. 3. Effective Communication: Strategies for fostering open and effective communication within the church community, including conflict resolution and building consensus. 4. Discipleship and Evangelism: Techniques for promoting spiritual growth among members and engaging the community through outreach and mission initiatives. 5. Leadership Development: Identifying and mentoring emerging leaders within the church, equipping them with the tools to serve effectively. 6. Cultural Sensitivity and Diversity: Understanding the diverse backgrounds within the church and how to lead inclusively, fostering a sense of belonging for all members. Through a combination of lectures, group discussions, and practical applications, participants will develop a deeper understanding of their role as leaders in the local church and gain the confidence to implement effective leadership practices that align with the mission and values of the Seventh-day Adventist denomination. The course aims to inspire leaders to cultivate a vibrant church community centered on Christ and committed to service.

Then the residency

The course opens to you for 360 days. You set the pace, and nothing expires while you are still working through it.

There is no fee, no upsell and no card. The conference carries the cost because the point is formation, not revenue.

Each course is the entry point into one of the six tracks — where the same material is worked through with a live group and a project applied to your own congregation.

HOW THEY WORK

A course is the argument.
A track is
the year.

A course can be taken alone, and many leaders do exactly that. But neither of these two was written to be read by an individual: the eight factors are applied by a board, and church order is exercised by a congregation. That is what the six tracks of the residency are for.

NOW OPEN

The Pioneer Cohort of Track 03 takes twenty leaders, from January 2027.
